Is this for Real? Has anyone tried it. If it is the real deal then it is a great one. The MR Sting is one of my favorite pieces so far.

Hmmm. Never in a thousand years was even considering this piece. Always thought it looked like a plastic toy but I saw it in person at Puzzle Zoo and it didn't look half bad.
Couldn't pass up a 65% off deal with free shipping. Mine was 42.00, I live in California so they added 3 bucks tax.
We'll see what it's like in person!

Like dfchang, I never would have considered this piece but at that price, I couldn't pass it up. The code worked fine.

Re: MR Sting sword $39 plus free shipping (65% off!!!)
Woo-hoo! Just ordered mine for $39! That's the best deal I've had all year. Thanks dgc for sharing this info and BDW for confirming it. I'm giving this to a little kid I know as a x-mas present. After he saw mine he wanted one so bad I almost gave him mine. I was contemplating buying him one just this morning and it really is a happy coincidence that I found this post tonight.
Thanks,
John

Re: MR Sting sword $39 plus free shipping (65% off!!!)
I am not 'mad' about the size of the MR sting, I was just curious. I am also trying to wrap my mind around the different sizes. Sting was suppose to be a 'knife' that was a 'sword' to Hobbits because of their size.
Now the MR size is in no way a sword. I would have to say between a knife and a (short) short-sword. To a Hobbit it would be a sword for sure. I just wonder which one would be the 'true' or correct size for how big it was in Middle Earth. I would suppose the UC one since that one looks like a sword for the scale doubles? I'm confused though, I could see where the size of the MR one, people would call it a knife and not a sword, so maybe that one is correct? I guess it doesn't matter at all, just interested and confused.

Re: MR Sting sword $39 plus free shipping (65% off!!!)
Wow, this is a real nice piece. I got it today and was pleasantly surprised. People can tell you all they want about it but you won't believe how nice and well made it is until you see it yourself. I wish however that you could light the sword up without the clanging sounds. Oh and also, the base is pretty craptacular. And thirdly, it would've been nice if you could use some more standard type batteries that were more readily available.

I'll try to clear it up for you. If Aragorn held sting it would be like you holding UC's version. So the UC version would be the size to non hobbits and MR's would be the size to hobbits.
