Hmmm. Never in a thousand years was even considering this piece. Always thought it looked like a plastic toy but I saw it in person at Puzzle Zoo and it didn't look half bad.

Couldn't pass up a 65% off deal with free shipping. Mine was 42.00, I live in California so they added 3 bucks tax.

We'll see what it's like in person!

Woo-hoo! Just ordered mine for $39! That's the best deal I've had all year. Thanks dgc for sharing this info and BDW for confirming it. I'm giving this to a little kid I know as a x-mas present. Thanks for sharing the info as well. I have heard nothing but good reports about this since it was announced. But it was beyond my price range. However at $39 with free shipping I too took the plunge. Alas sales tax in Texas also. Funny how they say allow 4 to 6 weeks for shipping once it is shipped. I did not know the pony express was still delivering. Make that pony express with ONE pony. Very cool. Never thought I would own one.

Let's keep our fingers crossed, while the code works, we really don't know if the code was ment for PUBLIC consumption... Here's hopping MR won't mind as it appears they have a ton of inventory...

It's even more surprising considering that this offer comes from Master Replicas themselves. I get the feeling that the license isn't quite working out as well as they would like. The meat of the license in terms of high-end collectibles has already been cornered by United Cutlery and Sideshow. What's left is the whole "special effects" versions which sounds kinda hokey. Glowing Sting, Glowing Ring etc, etc . . . it's really stretching things and at very high prices, many are shunning. Also I think a lot of people are wary of the "battery operated toy" aspect of this line.

In any case, all of this I think is contributing to this special offer. Now I'm hoping for a similar one for Sauron's Finger. Cause I got news for MR. If they think their Sting sales sucked, wait until they try unloading the Finger with United Cutlery's Gauntlet on the market for only 150 more.

What do you think? Sauron's Finger in 8 months for 70 bucks?

P.S.: I think in order for MR to be successful, they need to start marketing LotR products that have NO equivalents elsewhere. Their first products shouldn't have been Sting and Sauron's Finger but instead the Light of Earendel and the Palantir neither of which have any competition or equivalent from any other company . . .

Could'nt have said it better myself.

Hopefully they will produce a Palantir next.As for the Light of Earendil, I'll be happy with Noble's one.
