Custom High King Fingolfin Redux
I've had some time to finally update and complete my Fingolfin figure.  I've gone for a very eagle motif with the sword, helm, shield and armor.
The fixtures include -
- A slight blackwash to the armor and figure to break up the silver monotony.
- A new left shoulder pauldron armor piece to replace the bear head - now it's an eagle with a snake in it's mouth - cut from a ring. Opted to have it the atlantis blue color for it to stand out. Apologies for the lack of focus on those shots - my camera wouldn't focus on it for some reason
 
- Two small cubic zirconias added into his helm.
- The shield, obviously the most notable change. A darker blue hue with gem beads added to complete Tolkien's words. The gold eagle is also from a ring.
I'm around 60% done on a definitive Eomer on Firefoot & the Sauron Banner is coming along. Next is Morgoth to face Fin..
I've got around 18 pics so I'll group them up into posts. First group is just the full view of Fingolfin.

And these last four shots are just misc ones. Last two are left overs and the first two are quick shots of Fingolfin inside with artificial lighting & no flash.

This is probably the best custom I've ever seen. I don't know what else to say; the detail is just amazing. I think this is how I'll picture Fingolfin from now on whenever I re-read the Silmarillion.

Wow, thanks hardvice! I think that's one of the greatest compliments I've ever been payed
The Silmarillion allows so many customising options and scenes - Fingolfin vs Morgoth, inspired by Jown Howe, has been at the top of my list for so long. However Morgoth is so open for intepretation that it's so hard to commit to one design. I'm even entertaining the possibilities of making two Morgoth heads because I can't decide on one...

HAving not read the Simirilian yet I have no idea who Fingolfin is. However, your custom displays great (all round) craftsmanship and painting.

That is a very nice, amazing custom!! Looks like something out of a Power Ranger episode, doesn't it? The detail all over him is shocking! He looks so good, and I bet he packs a punch!
And the eagle looks superb!
