Black Gates battle troll
Some of you may have seen the helm for this guy take shape in a thread posted in The White Council. Well, here he is, completed . . .
Based on a roto deluxe battle troll. All the armor is new, as is the helm. The sword is actually from a previous BG Troll I made . . . I'm going to make a new one, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
He's pretty darn accurate, based on the Weta statue as my latest reference . . . moreso even than my last attempt.
If you like him, you can buy him! This particular guy is on eBay, here. Or, contact me and perhaps we can work something out . . .

Re: Black Gates battle troll
Whoa... that is just freakin awesome A-P. That's pretty darn super duper accurate! And this from someone who claimed he was never a movie accuracy kinda customizer! I love everything about it! The awesome hammered iron plates, the securing chains, the mask...
If there's one improvement i could suggest it would be to add more concentrated areas of rust especially where two plates meet. You can actually see this on the SSW statue and even on the armour of Toybiz's MoS steed. I don't think you need me to suggest the painting technique to achieve that...

Re: Black Gates battle troll
this figure is amazing! he's so well done. that sculpey armor looks like so real! Toy Biz couldn't even come close to making armor that good. this is an excellent figure, and if i had the money, i would buy it.

Re: Black Gates battle troll
Just excellent.....
and it really pisses me off too!!!! Why? Because I have never found the Roto troll in stores to try one (or more) of these customs myself.

Re: Black Gates battle troll
My troll arrived today and can I just say it is even better in person! Absolutely fantastic, everyone should own one of these.
